ORDERING

We require a minimum of 10 meals. This allows us to maintain an affordable meal service and offer new menus every week.

A new menu is released every Tuesday evening. 

Orders must be placed by 1:00 p.m PST every Thursday.

We currently cannot accommodate custom changes to our meals. However,  you can add double protein or substitute carbohydrates with vegetables for most meals.

If you are unhappy with any of our meals, please let us know right away and we will gladly apply a meal credit to a future order. 

Please note: for us to effectively deal with issues, you must contact us at hello@grubboxx.com with any problems the same day your order is received.

Please contact us at hello@grubboxx.com to change or cancel an order. 

We cannot make changes to your order or honor cancellations after the Thursday 1:00 p.m. Pacific time order deadline.

DELIVERY & PICKUP

You are responsible for picking up your meals. We can accommodate a date change as long as it is within our normal pickup hours. For example: If your initial pickup day was Sunday, you can still retrieve your meals during Monday pickup. 

Pickups are: 

Sunday: 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Monday: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Please contact us and let us know you won’t make it. If you cannot make either pickup day, you will still be charged and we cannot offer a refund.

Orders are delivered Sundays between 6:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

A one-time bag deposit fee of $15, and free delivery, is applied on your first delivery.

All subsequent deliveries will be $10 or $20, depending on your location.

No, but it is highly recommended that all meals be transferred to refrigeration with 30 minutes of your text notification confirming your delivery. 

Yes, as long as your business is open from 6:00 -10:30 a.m. on Sunday. We only deliver bags to the lobby or main entrance.

All meals are delivered by Grub Boxx staff and are placed inside a zip-closed, insulated canvas bag with ice packs. 

We do not need the meal containers back since we cannot reuse them for business. Since they are recyclable, reusable, BPA-free, microwavable, and freezer safe, our containers work great for tupperware in your house! We also encourage you to recycle them if you no longer have a use for them.

Reusable bags only need to be put out on your porch before the delivery driver arrives. If you decide to stop using Grub Boxx, bags must be returned within 5 days of your last purchase to receive your $15 deposit back. 

MEALS

If you suffer from food allergies, we encourage you to contact us at hello@grubboxx.com ahead of time and we are happy to address any questions or concerns you may have, and inform you which meals are allergen-free.

We make every effort and use best practices to avoid cross-contamination, but we cannot guarantee that there won’t be any cross-contamination with your meals. 

Food allergy reactions can range from mild to severe. We urge you to use caution when ordering Grub Boxx Meals, as some of our signature meals contain common allergens such as nuts, dairy, and wheat.

We make our best effort to ensure all ingredients are local and/or organic, whenever possible. All ingredients are hand-picked by Grub Boxx staff to ensure they meet our rigorous requirements in quality and freshness. 

We craft all meals to be well-balanced, portion-controlled, and under 500 calories. All meals are packaged in individual serving containers and are intended for one person. 

Our regular size meals contain:

Meat/protein:  3.5–6 oz.

Starch/carbohydrate: 3–5 oz.

Vegetables: 3–5 oz.

Double protein and low-carb options can be added to most meals. 

Please note: all our portions are based on specific nutritional guidelines. Nutritional information is provided using information obtained from product labels and the USDA Nutritional Database, all information should be considered an approximate value-

Yes, you can add double protein to most meals for an extra $4 per meal.

We attempt to keep macros for each meal in line with a healthy, balanced diet and caloric-deficit in mind. If you are looking for a lower carb option, we can substitute any carbohydrate/starch with vegetables for an extra $1 per substitution.

Our meals are sealed to maintain freshness for 4-6 days while refrigerated. We always recommend eating salads, seafood, and/or knife-cut produce meals first.

Meals usually taste best when removed from the container and reheated using a stove top or convection oven.

You can also use the reheat feature on your microwave in 45–60 second increments, until the temperature reaches your preference. 

Recommendations

  • Leave the meal container lid in place if you are microwaving, but open one side to allow venting.
  • Add sauces after reheating. Our sauces are made from low-calorie ingredients and may slightly evaporate under high heat. 
All meals are pre-cooked and only require warming. Long durations in the microwave may affect the texture and taste of your meals.

Yes, meals can be frozen, although although it is not something we suggest, or recommend doing. If you do decide to freeze the meals, we suggest thawing meals in the refrigerator the night prior to consuming. We also only recommend freezing meals for 2–4 days maximum. Customers have reported that using a freezer zip-lock bag over the container for an airtight seal has been helpful.

Microwave thawing may affect the texture and taste of your meals. Room temperature thawing may promote bacteria growth, which can lead to illness.
